Second Life Cedar stumps on locking caster wheels. These are salvaged logs that have been rescued and given a new lease on life. Perfect as a side table, end table, grouped together as a coffee table or as extra seating!
Beautiful cedar stumps have been dried, received a good sanding and you can choose between a whitewashed, natural (clear coat only), grey or flat black finish followed by a water based clear coat allowing all their natural features to shine through. Bottoms have four locking metal and rubber casters for easy movement. These are for interior use only.
Choose your size and finish from the drop down menu to the right.
The locking caster wheels are metal and rubber and measure 2 3/4" high. Each caster wheel has the ability to lock into place with an easy push down tab.
These are solid blocks of wood, and as such they respond to their environmental factors such as heat, light and humidity. Expect further checking of the wood as it acclimates to your environment. We think this adds to its character and makes them even more beautiful.

Yes, within reason! You are welcome to send us a note with a special size request outside of what we offer. Please note, due to the reclaimed nature of our business we are limited as to what is available in off cuts. No trees are cut to make our products, they are the leftovers from manufacture. If we have it and we can safely ship it to you then we will!
We can accommodate volume requests if we have the stock. It is advisable to contact us well in advance of your target delivery date as it may take time to accumulate your sizes. Prices and lead times vary with volume and availability.
These are natural blocks of solid wood. As such they will continue to crack and check as they acclimate to their new environment. This is 100% normal and adds to their beauty and rustic character. To reduce/ slow cracking keep away from direct heat sources such as fireplaces, radiators or sunny windows. It is also super important that your piece not sit directly on the surface, always keep the rubber bumpers or wool felts on your piece. This allows for the proper airflow around your piece as it acclimates to its new environment.
Can I use them outside?
Yes! But you must indicate it is for outdoor use prior to purchasing as there is an additional cost for outdoor treatment (outdoor clear coat and rubber bumpers are a must). The top and bottom are the most porous and so they need extra coats to make them less likely to take on water. We do recommend they live under cover but have had no complaints from customers who have them out in the elements. Just don't let them sit in standing water or they will discolor over time. They are great for outdoor / shower use!
